  Day 1

  Transfer from Kigali to Bukavu

  • You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport and transferred to Bukavu in Congo. During the journey, you will view beautiful Rwanda’s rolling hills passing through various districts of Rwanda until you reach the Congo –Rwanda border at Bukavu. Then cross border arrangements will be finalized before crossing to Congo.
  • In the evening you will be taken to the hotel for dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day

  Day 2-3

  First Eastern Lowland Gorilla trekking

  • You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning and thereafter you will go trekking gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National Park. The trek usually requires 1 to 2.5 hours of hiking each way, depending on the location of the gorilla group and the difficulty of the terrain.
  • In the evening you will be taken to the hotel for dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day

  Bukavu back to Nyungwe forest

  • You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning and thereafter you will jump on to your safari vehicle for the drive back to Rwanda side if time allows making stopovers to some Interested stopovers
  • In the evening you will be taken to the hotel for dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day

  Nyungwe Forest National Park for Chimps

  • You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning and thereafter a full day at Nyungwe forest. You will track chimpanzees and go back to the hotel for lunch. According to your wish in the afternoon you will experience the canopy bridge trail
  • In the evening you will be taken to the hotel for dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day

  Nyungwe Forest National Park waterfalls

  • You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning and thereafter you will enter the Nyungwe forest to track the Nyungwe colobus monkey or waterfalls. A walk into the forest or natural trail with knowledgeable guides well versed in botany, ornithology and interspecies relationships will be a whole new learning experience for you.
  • In the evening you will be taken to the hotel for dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day
