Overview

This is a budget group joining adventure to Masai Mara for two nights, one night in Lake Nakuru and concluding with two nights in Amboseli. See the Big Five, big cats in the famous Masai Mara. Flamingoes and rhinos in Lake Nakuru and large herds of elephants in Amboseli National Park. You own a window seat and ample space on the rooftop of the 4x4 Landcruiser during game drives.

Itineraries

Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up at your hotel at 7:00 am and driven to the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley. From here you will descend the escarpment and make your way to the Masai Mara via Narok town. On arrival, eat lunch at the camp and then proceed on an afternoon game drive in the park. The Mara is famous for its black-maned lions and the yearly migration of wildebeest into the park from the Serengeti. Later, you will make your way to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast your guide will pick you from your Camp at 7:45am or early and proceed on a full day game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing of the animals. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. After the game drive there will be an optional visit the Masai Village at an extra fee payable direct. Dinner and overnight at the Campsite.

Day 3

Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park

After early morning breakfast, you will leave Masai Mara National Reserve and enjoy a game drive en route to Lake Nakuru. You will eat lunch in Mai Mahiu and stop at Lake Naivasha along the way. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Lanet Matfam Resort.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru National Park - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will go on an extensive morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is known for its many unique animals. Millions of flamingos and other water birds line the lake. Later, you will leave Lake Nakuru and then proceed to Amboseli National Park, eating lunch en route. Dinner at your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 5

Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will spend the full day in Amboseli National Park enjoying the best this area has to offer. You will have the opportunity to view Mt. Kilimanjaro and go on an optional tour of a Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life. Meals and your overnight stay will be at the camp.
