Overview

The Maasai Mara is Kenya's most celebrated game park, it offers the possibility of seeing "the Big Five" and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration "the world's greatest wildlife spectacle" occurs mainly in July and August of each year. Lake Nakuru (Pink Lake) is often referred to due to its Great masses of Flamingos not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park.

    Day 1

    Nairobi - Masai Mara
    Pick up from hotel at around 8:00 am drive southwards along the floor of the Great Rift Valley with a stopover at the viewpoint arriving in time for lunch. Later proceed for an evening game drive which is well known for its rich, tree-studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is also renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-maned lions, leopard, and cheetah but also contains numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at Mara.

    Day 2

    Masai Mara
    After breakfast with a picnic lunch, you spend a full day game viewing with a visit to the Mara river where there is a concentration of a lot of animals. You will have your picnic lunch as you watch the crocodiles, hippos, and other animals living in the water. On this day you have the option of going to visit the Masai villages. All meals and overnight at Mara Lenchada.

    Day 3

    Masai Mara - Nakuru
    The pre-early game drive then after late breakfast depart to Nakuru national park with picnic lunch on the way arriving in the evening, if time allows you pass via Naivasha for a boat ride at Lake Naivasha Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight at Golden palace for budget accommodation.

    Day 4

    Nakuru - Nairobi
    After early breakfast spend the morning in Nakuru park where you see a lot of flamingos among other birds [about 350 species recorded]. This is also home to the black and the white rhinoceros. The park has also been established for the protection of endangered species such as the Rhino and is also home to Columbus monkeys. Leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope. After departing to Nairobi with picnic lunch on the way to drop off airport or your hotel.
