    Day 1

    Arrival at Grande Barriere Border Crossing
    • You will be picked up at your Hotel & you'll arrive at Grande Barriere border crossing by 10:30 am and ensure check-in with Virunga tourism office by 11:15 am. Once check-in is complete, you will be transported to the Lodge at the park headquarters in Rumangabo.
    • On arrival at the lodge, a late lunch will be served and the afternoon can be enjoyed at leisure and in the evening, you will enjoy your dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day

    Day 2

    The Gorilla Trek at Bukima Ranger Post
    • You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning and thereafter picked up from the lodge for the gorilla trek at Bukima Ranger Post, you will then return to Bukima Camp and then will be transported back to the lodge. Here the remainder of the day can be spent relaxing on the lodge or visiting the gorilla orphans at the Senkwekwe Center.
    • In the evening you will be taken to the lodge for dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day

    Day 3

    Nyiragongo Volcano Trek
    • You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning and thereafter picked up from the lodge to Kibati Ranger Post - the departure point for the Nyiragongo volcano trek
    • In the evening you will be taken to the lodge for dinner, sleeping and preparation for the next day

    Day 4

    Crater Rim to Kibati
    • You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning and you will leave the crater rim and start the descent back to Kibati. The average descent time is four hours. Once at the bottom, you will be transported back to Goma with a drop-off at the Grande Barriere border crossing.
