Day 1
Kigali - Cyangungu
After an early morning breakfast, your guide driver will meet you at your hotel/Residence in Kigali, shortly after the Safari briefing embark on the journey that will take us to Cyangungu on the shores of Lake Kivu. Upon arriving at the Lodge, you will be checked in into your rooms for refreshing and relaxing preparing yourselves for the next Lowland Gorilla Tracking adventure day.

Day 2
Eastern Lowland Gorilla Tracking Kahuzi Biega National Park
After an early morning breakfast, prepared to go lowland Gorilla Trekking, cross the border at Ruzizi one to Democratic republic of Congo and proceed to Tshivanga Kahuzi-Biega National Park headquarters, kbnp is a World Heritage site. A vast area of primary tropical forest dominated by two spectacular extinct volcanoes, Kahuzi and Biega, the park has a diverse and abundant fauna. Some of the last groups of eastern lowland gorillas consisting of only some 7,000 individuals, live here at between 2100 and 2400 m above the sea-level. They have black coats, and the males develop silver backs as they mature. With the help of a ranger and trackers, we approach this rare primate. The walk can take several hours, but coming across the group in its particular habitat is an inspiring moment.
After the day experience with lowland Gorilla tracking transfer back to the lodge.

Day 3
Cyangungu - Kigali, Rwanda
After a leisurely morning breakfast, you will start your journey back to Kigali, arriving in the evening. Here your private guide and 4WD vehicle leave you to continue your journey, either home or to your next destination. Due to covid restrictions we expect some delays and thus we advice to book your out bound flight in 3 Day after your trip.
