This Ethiopian adventure begins and concludes in Addis Ababa. Our first trip is to Lalibela, a World Heritage-listed town by UNESCO. We continue to Gondar where you will visit the ancient churches and castles, remnants of a bygone Ethiopian empire. We then proceed to the Simien Mountains National Park.

Itineraries
Day 1
Addis Ababa
After arrival at Bole International Airport, you will meet and greet a Senait Ethiopia Tours representative at the car-park area who will transfer you to the hotel. The guide will give you a briefing about the trip to Lalibela, Gonder, and Simien Mountain. Our overnight stay will be at the Golden Tulip Hotel.

Day 2
Air transfer to Lalibela
In the morning, we transfer by air to Lalibela, a World Heritage city. After an hour's flight, you will arrive at Shimshaha (Lalibela Airport) and transfer to the hotel. You visit the first group of churches which includes Bieta Medhanialem (chapel of the Holy Savior), the biggest church. Continue to Bieta Mariam (chapel of Mary), three-aisled with mural paintings and a covered pillar containing inscriptions about the end of the world according to the gadl (act) of the saintly king.
We then visit Bieta Denagel (chapel of the virgins), Bieta Meskel (chapel of the cross), and finally, the “double-church” of Debre Sina and Bieta Golghotha (women are not allowed in the latter since it’s where the remains of King Lalibela are and also because it contains the tabernacle of the Holy Trinity). We also visit St. George Church which is the final work of Lalibela and the best design. Overnight will be at Mezena Lodge.

Day 3
Lalibela
In Lalibela, you will have an excursion to Asheten Mariam Church situated at a very hilly top to see the town of Lalibela and the surrounding attractions.
In the afternoon, we visit the second group of rock-hewn churches that are Bieta Gabriel and Raphael, Bieta Merquorios, Bieta Emmanuel with the unprecedented Axumite style, and the Bieta Abaa Libanos (said to have been built by King Lalibela’s consort Meskal Kebra). We also visit the Bieta Ghiorghis which is the cruciform chapel of St. George. Our overnight stay will be at Mezena Lodge.

Day 4
Gonder
We drive to Gonder overviewing the best scenery and the real country side of Ethiopia. We take the route via Gashena and Werota Weldia. The road is scenic. We pass though the Amhara people villages and it will be a good opportunity to explore the surround areas of "Kimir Dingay", the historical town of Debre Tabor. After Werota, we turn right to Adiss Zemen and visit the 'Devil's Nose", a giant rock that looks like a big Nose. Then proceed to Proceed to Gonder overnight Goha or similar hotel.

Day 5
Excursion to Simien mountain
We drive to Semien Mountain to experience its marvelous scenery and the endemic animals like the Walya ibex, gelada baboon, and birds. Five kilometres from Gonder, you will see the old village of the black Jewish. Simien Mountain is the place to see the troops of gelada baboons. They are very attractive and taking pictures of them is unforgettable. These are unique primates found only in Ethiopia who live on vegetables and soft roots. We will walk to the wonderful viewpoints around Sankaber and to the Jinbar Waterfalls. In the late afternoon we drive back to Gonder.

Day 6
Visit Gonder and then flight to Addis Ababa
In the morning we take a short visit to the Royal Castles and the Bath of Emperor Fasiledes - the bath is filled with water for the important Timkat (epiphany) ceremony once a year. You will continue your visit to Debre Birhan Selassie Church (Trinity at the Mount of Light). Afternoon we transfer to the airport for the flight back to Addis Ababa. Enjoy some souvenir shopping and attend farewell dinner in the best cultural restaurant. Then transfer to the airport which will mark the end of the trip.
