We depart early in the morning for the last adventure in Madagascar, a trek of about 8 hours among the majestic canyons of Isalo that will end in the forest between lemurs and chameleons. Inside the park are 55 species of birds and three species of lemurs (the ring-tailed lemur, the black-headed lemur, and Verreaux's sifaka). In the driest areas, the Pachipodium blooms between September and October. The park's main attraction is undoubtedly the rock formations, the canyons, and the natural pools, ideal for a refreshing swim. The forest vegetation is concentrated in part low in the canyons where there is water. The Uapaca Bojeri tree is endemic to this area and fire resistant. On the rocks grow other endemic plants, such as the Pachypodium and the paws of elephants (Aloe isaloensis). Your overnight stay is in Ranohira at Satrana Lodge Hotel or similar.
